On June 8, 2003, Highland Park Baptist Church celebrated the retirement of our indebtedness for construction of the sanctuary and fellowship hall. This ceremony involved the Building Committee, which supervised the construction of these buildings, the Deacons, and the Finance Committee. Those members that served on the Building Committee were: Dale and Frankie Parsons (represented by their children, Trina Parsons Goettel and Jennifer Parsons Coe;, Rev. James Baughn, Pastor; Bobby Holder, Chairman; Gary Watson, Vice-Chairman; Annie Laurie Smith, Treasurer; Pam Watson, Secretary; Davis Smith, Opal Watson, Jeff Nixon, Woodrow Beamer, Mack Collins, and Arnold Key. Our blessings are beyond measure. "Where this is no vision, the people perish." Proverbs29:18
